Olivier de Kerten |
the pioneer of Articulated Geometric Sculpture

French artist Olivier de Kerten is the first to have developed a unique system of fully articulated geometric sculptures. Entirely crafted in ABS plastic, his one-of-a-kind creations are composed of interconnected polyhedra that pivot and change form when manipulated—a technique invented and perfected by the artist himself.

Discover an original body of work that fuses art, mathematics, and interactive experience—where you are not just a spectator, but an active participant in the creation of form.

Abstract Expressionism. gesture, colour and emotion

Known for his pioneering articulated sculptures, Olivier de Kerten also embraces the freedom of the canvas.

His abstract expressionist paintings reveal another facet of his artistic vision—one driven by impulse, texture, and the raw energy of colour. Where his sculptures follow the logic of geometry, his paintings follow the logic of emotion.

Discover a body of work that balances precision with passion, structure with spontaneity.

 O. de Kerten Geometric Period 2000–2010 |
ODK Early Experimental Work

The period 2000–2010 was de Kerten's great experimental laboratory. Signed with the minimalist monogram "ODK.", these works explored geometric abstraction across a radical range of mediums—canvas, sculptural objects, furniture, and decorative art. His paintings featured fragmented rectangles and precise colour planes. The work appears minimalist, but the process was wildly exploratory. Geometry was not an end, but a language to be tested across disciplines. This decade of deconstruction laid the volatile groundwork for his later intensity. It was a research phase—pure curiosity before the storm..
